I bought a few bamboo estuaries (cheap!) And I thought of painting (acrylic) or striped designs on them to create a work of art mural. Not very elegant, something that does not mean that the space is taken and put color on a white wall!

My question ... I do not know exactly how to do ... I first carpet before painting? What color is the best ... I have both an artist and acrylic craft ... The area is quite large, so that the paintings and crafts in order to be correct? (I hate like hell, waste paint well about whether it works!)

How to End ... Lacquer? I like hanging in a bathroom in time ... What to quit (or product) to protect the paint? The bathroom is well ventilated, but I want something that resists moisture.
